We create small-batch, handcrafted wines that are flavorful and aromatic and reflect the attributes of our vineyard.

The sip is just the beginning...of wonderful friendships, relaxing community, and enjoying great wine together.  Come and enjoy one of the great tastes of licking county!

Our Vineyard

Presently in our vineyard we have established plantings of three outstanding grape varieties that are capable of producing award winning wines;

Marquette’s wines are complex, with attractive ruby color, pronounced tannins, and desirable notes of cherry, berry, black pepper, and spice on both nose and palate. As a red wine, Marquette represents a new standard in cold hardy viticulture and enology.

La Crescent's intense nose of apricot, peach, and citrus lends itself to superior quality off-dry or sweet white wines. Produced in a Germanic style, La Crescent wine is reminiscent of Vignoles or Riesling. The grape's high acidity provides a good structure for excellent dessert or late-harvest style wines.

Frontenac Gris wines present aromas of peach and apricot with hints of enticing citrus and tropical fruit. A brilliant balance of fruit and acidity creates lively, refreshing wines. Unique and complex flavors make this an excellent grape for a table, dessert, and ice wines.

Our Wines

We offer a variety of sweet and dry red and white wines.

We believe that it is our responsibility to farm the land carefully, in harmony with nature and to protect the environment and our neighbors. We practice and employ sustainable techniques to minimize erosion, conserve water, minimize the use of chemicals and recycle wast. As an example we:

  • minimize sprays by monitoring harmful insect populations and spraying only when absolutely necessary

  • grow sod cover in our row middles to prevent soil erosion and to maintain a complex ecosystem

  • maintain wild habitat near our vineyard and orchard, with no bare soil to increase drought resistance

  • promote natural predation in our vineyards by using bird boxes and wild habitats

  • embrace recycling

  • hand hoe and mulch to suppress weeds

  • hand prune and harvest and pay careful attention to fruit selection

"The best wines are the ones we enjoy with friends."

Our Mission

Be good stewards of the land, grow quality fruit, handcraft great tasting wines, enjoy with our friends.

Autumn Rush Vineyard is a family owned vineyard and orchard sited on 16 acres of farmland located northeast of Johnstown, in Licking County Ohio.  It has been amazing to watch this fertile farm land being transformed to reveal lush green meadow, soft rolling knolls, and natural creek beds.

Flowers, herbs, berries, maples and fruit and nut trees and native perennial grasses provide a natural landscape and add to the attractiveness of the beautifully situated property. A stocked pond provides feeding, resting and nesting habitat for wildlife as well as provides a serene, picturesque, and relaxing setting.

We are enjoying farming and doing our best to be good stewards of the land by utilizing farming practices that preserve our environment, reduce waste, and promote healthy growing systems while focusing on quality.

We are happy to be a part of the many other great vineyards and wineries in the Licking/Knox County area in growing quality grapes to produce great tasting wine.
